You can’t be tippy-toeing up in here!!!

Nov 14 2006

Wow, so much has happened in the last week. I needed to take an extra day to compile all the events into my supercomputer-like brain. First we had the election, then the announcement that Doogie Howser is gay. I mean, with an array of events that wide how could any of us be expected to fully comprehend it all before moving on to this week, right?

Yes, that little election day that we had. Wow, who’d have thought….Bush loses his rubber-stamp ability, Minnesota elects what might be the first (I’m sorry, but I’m too lazy to Google it) Muslim to governor, and we get the first female Speaker of the House. Yes, as I mentioned a couple weeks ago, staying the course seems to have gone out the window around the country.

And, K-Fed….poor K-Fed. In case you were in a drug-induced coma for the last week, Britney Spears is soon becoming a free woman. Much to the chagrin of Kevin Federline’s bank account. I mean his country bumpkin, smart as a pumpkin meal ticket has finally wised up to the fact that he’s the human version of a barnacle. No real purpose, no skill, and needs to attach himself to anything and everything in order to get himself anywhere. At least we can all look forward to watching a person’s life self-destruct on a massive and very public scale. The recent show in Chicago is a great start Where promoters hat to give away hundreds of tickets to fill the show up. The only people I’ve even heard use the words ‘K-Fed’s music’ and ‘good’ in the same sentence are the same people who lined up to buy Paris Hilton’s d.o.a debut album. Come on people, I’m losing faith in humanity.

I’m not losing faith in football, though. This week saw a resurgence of sorts for the old fantasy leagues. Dominating performances in both my money leagues means I may be on the comeback trail. It must be the luck of the Tate. Since I began showing the Terry Tate videos here, it’s led to a marginal improvement for my teams as a whole. Therefore, the video trend will continue with this new installment. I wish I was a bit more inspired this week, but what can I say. I’m still reeling from the whole Doogie Howser revelation. I’ll never be able to view ‘Harold and Kumar go to White Castle’ in quite the same way again. Bravo Doogie, thanks for shattering the dream.

~Enjoy
